It will be hot, and there is an air quality alert issued.
There is a large ridge of high pressure moving that will provide us with very warm temperatures the next few days. Temperatures are expected to approach 100 degrees over the next few days. This heat can be very dangerous. Be sure to consume lots of water, limit outdoor activities, and be sure to avoid heat exhaustion. Today an Air Quality Action Day has been issued by Raleigh. It is a code orange day from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.
